If you told me 5 years ago that we would have owned three homes in the past five years, I wouldn’t have believed you. Our first home was that – our first home. The one that Shep came home to from the hospital, the first one that we “renovated” and made our own. Then along came Beau, and we wanted more space (mostly for our family who visited often). We moved right on down the street and got to stay right by our awesome neighbors. Two years later, we were pleasantly surprised by the opportunity to move up to Ohio, and to our third home we went! I am praying and hoping we are here for a very long time.
We found our home during Clint’s second home search with his job, and it was his first pick of all of them we saw (over 12). The neighborhood and large yard sold us (and I’m not just saying that because neighbors could be reading!) I was excited to be able to put my touch on it and so began our first round of house updates.
It was really a beautiful home already – so everything I chose to do so far has been because I wanted to make it my own (it’s FUN too!) My friends say I’ve brought a little of my Florida style to this home, but mostly I just love light and bright! Most of the decor in here we had beforehand, so I just made it work in this space.

Now: Enjoy pictures of the only room I feel like is really “done” and some of sources are below!
I need your help! Do you think I need a rug? I love the beautiful grain of the floors and don’t want to cover up too much (the front room already has a rug). Plus let’s be honest – we don’t use this room a lot.
Paint colors: (all Benjamin Moore) Revere Pewter on top, Decorator’s White on bottom (and walls of Living Room). Simply White for trim.
Art: Beach Canvas (we’ve had this since our first apartment together!)
Mirror: Homegoods (here’s similar)
Chandelier: Pottery Barn
Living Room Chair: Wayfair
