For today’s Thoughts for Thursday, I’ll be sharing my favorite non-candy Easter basket ideas, some of our favorite family activities in Columbus lately and of course the linkup with my other favorite bloggers. As always, thanks for stopping by!
I’m not sure how we’re already getting ready for Easter, but we are, and I couldn’t be more excited. I was never a big St. Patrick’s Day person, but Easter is by far one of my favorite holidays. It’s spring time, everyone is happier with better and warmer weather, and it’s a meaningful and significant holiday for our family.
Considering we still have leftover Halloween candy at our house, I started thinking about Easter baskets and realized the LAST thing either of my boys need is more candy. I started researching educational toys, clothes, and other gifts I thought they would like and wanted to share those with you all. I’d love your thoughts in the comments of other Easter gifts you are giving to your kids, too!
If you’ve seen any of my Instagram stories lately you can tell Shep is obsessed with boots and hats, reason behind some of those on this list! I also found some classic Melissa & Doug puzzles and interactive toys I thought both Shep and Beau would like. Plus – how adorable are those Bacon & Eggs jammies? I’m a sucker for matching pajamas these days.

Activities for Kids in Columbus Lately
Now if you are having visitors for Easter and want something fun to do, you’re definitely in the right place. Columbus has so, so many amazing places for young kids to stay busy and learn. I hope we’re able to cover all these spots while we can! (And side note, if you ever need to find something to do, check out my friend Julie’s blog What Should We Do Today Columbus!)
Our favorites over the past couple of months have been the Franklin Park Conservatory and COSI – both of which we’ll go to a couple more times in the next few weeks. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – being out of the house is one of my favorite ways to explore and connect with my boys. They are little explorers at heart just like their mama!
